Update May 07, 2021

Current measures in Dresden

In Germany, uniform regulations are currently in place nationwide to deal with the Corona pandemic. The amended Infection Protection Act provides for incidence-dependent measures ("emergency brake") and applies from 24 April. The current Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance is still valid in some points. These measures apply if the incidence is above 100 on 5 consecutive working days.

Essential points that continue to apply to the MICE sector:

  • the closure of exhibition halls, congress and convention centers as well as facilities and venues with offers for conferences and meetings
  • closure of restaurants
  • Tourist bus trips are prohibited
  • Accommodation facilities and hotels can offer overnight stays for business travellers:

If the incidence is below 100 on 5 consecutive working days, the measures of the Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance apply from the day after next. (it may take a few days until an English translation is available)
