Dresden Conference Fund: Support for event organisers
Dresden is strengthening its role as a conference and meetings destination. The fund will create the ideal conditions for knowledge transfer, exchange and innovation in the state capital. The fund is aimed at national and international organisers who hold their congresses and conferences in Dresden. Applications can be submitted online via the Dresden Convention website.
Information on the accommodation tax
With effect from 1 July 2023, the City of Dresden has extended the accommodation tax to include business-related overnight stays. In principle, all persons who stay overnight in Dresden in hotels, inns or guesthouses, holiday accommodation or similar accommodation facilities, as well as on campsites, in return for payment are liable to pay the accommodation tax, unless a tax exemption applies in exceptional circumstances.
