Dresden MeetGreen – Development Network for Dresden’s MICE Industry

Exchange. Collaboration. Practical approaches.

Dresden MeetGreen is a development network of stakeholders in Dresden’s events industry. It brings together conference venues, event agencies and conference hotels, facilitating professional exchange and collaboration on events.

The Dresden Convention Service provides the platform for the network and supports networking amongst the participating partners.

Aims of the Development Network

The network focuses on a number of key areas:

Networking & Collaboration

The Development Network Dresden MeetGreen is a long-term project designed to promote ongoing dialogue within the events industry. It brings together partners from the sectors of conference hotels, event venues and event agencies, who work together to address issues and explore approaches relating to the further development of events.


Membership of the network is voluntary. Participation involves active engagement in the project group but does not constitute certification or an external audit of individual companies. The offers and services provided by individual partners may vary.

Measures and approaches developed

As part of the meetings and workshops organised by the Development Network Dresden MeetGreen, various approaches and measures are developed, discussed and taken forward.
The content is based on professional dialogue between the participating partners and is continually expanded and refined.

 

 Key areas from the workshops:

 

  • Definition of objectives and thematic focus: Jointly defining key themes as well as strategic and operational objectives for the network  
  • Key performance indicators and communication: Discussion of potential key performance indicators (KPIs) and approaches to transparent communication  
  • Mobility: Discussion on travel options and existing services (e.g. the VVO Congress Ticket) 
  • Structuring of measures: Compilation and overview of measures within the participating partners  
  • Collaboration and network structure: Formation of working groups 
  • Practical examples and knowledge transfer: Discussion of existing projects and experiences from the events industry 

 

The content developed serves as a basis for further discussion within the network and is continuously refined across the various formats.
