Support for specialist conferences
The Dresden Congress Fund supports organisers of specialist conferences in staging their events in Dresden. Through a tiered cooperation grant, the Fund helps to attract high-quality conferences to the capital of Saxony and to strengthen international exchange.
Requirements & Conditions
Requirements:
- Conference in Dresden (venue and programme subject to a fee)
- Professional audience (professional interest)
- At least 400 on-site attendees per day
- In the months of January, February, March, July, August or November
- Duration of at least two days
- No contractual obligations upon application
- First-time event in Dresden
- Eligible applicants: legal entities, partnerships, gGmbHs, associations, clubs, self-employed individuals
Excluded formats:
- Digital conferences
- Leisure, cultural, sporting and consumer events
- Fewer than 400 in-person attendees per day
- Formats that have already been commissioned or are subject to legal obligations
- Party-political or commercial leisure events
- Trade fairs, exhibitions and presentations (except where purely specialist in nature or linked to a congress with which cooperation is possible)
Legal entitlement:
There is no legal entitlement to participate in the partnership. The conclusion of a partnership agreement is subject to the availability of funds.

The amount of the cooperation fee depends on the number of participants at the congress.
