Dresden is further cementing its position as a versatile city for sport and events: following last year’s successful debut, the Bentley Dresden Trophy, the International German Arena Polo Championship, is returning to the historic Dresden-Seidnitz racecourse from 11 to 13 September 2026. Advance ticket sales for this high-profile sport and lifestyle event have already begun.

By hosting an international polo tournament, Dresden is expanding its sporting profile to include a discipline that combines dynamism, precision and exclusivity. At the same time, the event demonstrates just how diverse the state capital’s sporting landscape is and the potential that lies in extraordinary event formats.

The setting is particularly impressive: the Dresden-Seidnitz racecourse, which is over 135 years old, is one of the city’s most historic venues and, with its spacious grounds, offers ideal conditions for sporting and major events. With the polo tournament, this historic venue will once again serve as the stage for an event that combines top-class sport, a social experience and a special atmosphere.

The inaugural event in 2025 already attracted attention far beyond Saxony. Eight teams, comprising a total of 96 horses, competed on that occasion, thrilling visitors and the international polo community alike. For 2026, the organisers are once again expecting a high-calibre field of participants.

Alongside the sporting competitions, guests can look forward to an extensive supporting programme. Plans include an exclusive guests’ area at the Dresden Galopp Lounge, a large public viewing area right next to the pitch, and popular events such as the White Dinner and the Argentine barbecue ‘Great Asado’.
