Dresden meets Warsaw: MICE workshop on 7 October 2026
August 24, 2026
Dresden heads to Warsaw
On 7 October 2026, Dresden’s conference, events and hospitality sectors will be showcasing themselves in the Polish capital. Under the motto “Dresden meets Warsaw – Spotkania. Chwile. Wspomnienia.”, Dresden Convention Service, together with partners from the destination, will be showcasing the diverse range of options for meetings, conferences, incentives and events in Warsaw.
The MICE workshop is aimed at Polish event planners from agencies and companies, as well as PCOs, clubs and associations. The focus will be on personal exchanges, forging new business contacts and gaining concrete inspiration for events in Dresden.
Dresden’s events landscape at a glance
During the workshop, Dresden Convention Service and various MICE industry partners from Dresden will provide a concise insight into the diversity of the destination: from large congress and exhibition facilities, through to exceptional venues and professional event service providers, right through to centrally located conference hotels.
Through this event, Dresden aims to further expand its presence in the Polish MICE market and establish new contacts with event planners. The aim is for the meetings in Warsaw to lead to long-term collaborations and concrete event enquiries.
Why Warsaw? Why Poland?
Warsaw is not only the capital of Poland but also an important hub for internationally active companies and MICE agencies. At the same time, the Polish MICE market is growing, offering great potential for Dresden as a conference and events destination. Added to this are the historically close ties between Saxony and Poland. Poland is also already a particularly important market for Dresden in terms of tourism: for more than five years, Polish visitors have been the city’s largest international visitor group. These are therefore ideal conditions for deepening existing ties and positioning Dresden even more strongly in the Polish market within the MICE sector.
Networking with a view over Warsaw
The venue is Skyworks27 in the Widok Towers in the heart of Warsaw. High above the city, this modern venue, with its panoramic views, provides the perfect setting for an evening of new perspectives and personal encounters.
The workshop begins at 4.00 pm with a reception and a brief presentation on Dresden. Afterwards, plenty of time will be set aside for discussions: whilst enjoying culinary highlights from Dresden, guests will get to know the Dresden partners, exchange ideas on specific opportunities and develop initial concepts for joint projects.

Dresden is also bringing a taste of home to Warsaw in culinary terms: the ‘Dresdner Stollenmädchen’ brings the tradition and history of the famous Dresden Christmas stollen to life. This culinary delight is complemented by sparkling wine from Schloss Wackerbarth in Dresden’s Elbland region, bringing yet another taste of the region to Warsaw.
Personal interaction rather than a traditional trade fair
The workshop is designed for around 50 guests and deliberately fosters a personal, open atmosphere. Rather than a tightly packed programme of presentations, the focus is on direct discussion.
This gives event planners the opportunity to discuss their questions directly with service providers from Dresden, to put forward individual requirements and requests, and to get to know suitable contacts for future projects.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge for MICE planners. The event is aimed at Polish event planners who are active in the German market. If you have any questions about the event, Jörg Märzdorf will be happy to assist you.
Further information will be added to this page on an ongoing basis.
