Sales: caught between AI and empathy
April 11, 2025
Human. Approachable. Effective.
On 10 April 2025, the Dresden Media and Culture Centre was entirely focused on sales strategies in the digital age: how is artificial intelligence changing sales – and what role do humans still play in this?Around 30 participants accepted the invitation from Dresden Convention Service to look ahead to the future of sales alongside the renowned sales expert Isabell Owen.
In her interactive and inspiring session, Owen took everyone on a journey through sales psychology, communication and the possibilities – but also the limitations – of AI in sales. The clear message: technology can streamline processes, but it cannot replace what makes humans unique – empathy, intuition and a genuine interest in the person they are dealing with.
Some key takeaways:
-
Trust is built through genuine listening – not through perfectly formulated algorithms.
-
Those who combine emotional intelligence with expertise win customers on an equal footing.
-
The sales of the future will be technology-driven, but shaped by human interaction.
Participants particularly praised the practical insights, the open discussion and Isabell Owens’s engaging style: “Great speaker – we’d love more of the same, preferably in person!” was just one of many positive comments.
And that is exactly what is planned: further Fit4Congress insights events are already in the pipeline. Because one thing is clear – the future may be digital, but it thrives on dialogue.
