Dresden is winning over the international events industry

The countdown to IMEX 2026 has only just begun – and already it’s time to say: see you next year.

From 19 to 21 May 2026, Dresden once again showcased itself at IMEX in Frankfurt – one of the world’s most important trade fairs for the meetings, events and incentives sector. Three intensive days full of inspiring encounters, new perspectives and international exchange are now behind us.

Year after year, IMEX brings together thousands of event planners and industry experts from all over the world. With several thousand exhibitors, the trade fair offers a comprehensive overview of the latest developments, trends and innovative ideas in the world of business events.

This year, we were particularly delighted to collaborate with First Class Concept, who enriched our stand as co-exhibitors. For over 20 years, the Dresden-based company has been synonymous with first-class event and venue management. Its portfolio includes bespoke event concepts at its own venues, such as the OSTRADOME, the OSTRASTUDIOS, the STROMWERK at Kraftwerk Mitte and the Kurländer Palais – complemented by catering and entertainment. Whether it’s impressive in-house events such as the Dresden Castle Night, the ‘Genusswelten’ or the ‘Mafia Mia’ dinner show: the team always creates special experiences that linger in the memory.

Our stand was given a new design this year, reflecting IMEX’s 2026 focus theme, ‘Design Matters’. Bright, vibrant colours, natural materials and a modern design created a welcoming atmosphere. Attention was paid not only to the visual appeal but also to sustainability: apart from using wood as a material, existing stand elements were recycled and reused.

The stand quickly became a hub for in-depth discussions, new contacts and warm reunions with long-standing partners. The consistently positive feedback and the multitude of valuable conversations give us cause for optimism and reinforce our commitment to continuing to position Dresden internationally as a strong destination for conferences and business events.
