Music can be heard once again in the chapel of Dresden Palace

The Palace Chapel in Dresden’s Royal Palace is of outstanding historical significance. Built between 1551 and 1553, it was the birthplace of the Court Orchestra – now the Staatskapelle Dresden – and a key centre of activity for the composer Heinrich Schütz.
Following several years of renovation work, the former palace chapel has been transformed into a total work of art for events and guided tours. It now shines in new splendour following the skilful reconstruction of the ribbed vault and the refurbishment of the historic interior.

A multifunctional venue that stands out from other event spaces in Dresden thanks to its combination of historic atmosphere, acoustic qualities and modern event technology. The space offers up to 315 standing places. For seated events, up to 304 seats are available. The existing tiered seating can be used by event organisers. The chapel is equipped with modern lighting and sound systems. Cloakrooms and toilet facilities are located in the basement.
