Study Tour: The Best MICE Venues in Dresden

We look back on a networking evening and a two-day familiarisation trip.
It was a great pleasure for us to show the participants our beautiful conference city, Dresden!

MICE Networking Lounge
The MICE Networking Lounge, organised by the agency ILLERHAUS Marketing, took place at Schloss Wackerbarth, Europe’s first experiential winery. In an intimate, exclusive and cosy setting, business contacts were strengthened and opportunities for collaboration were discussed in greater detail.

Famtrip Day 1

We start our day at the Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe with a guided tour of the hotel, situated right next to the beautiful Frauenkirche.
Half the group then headed to the Zwinger Xperience. Here, the history of Dresden’s Zwinger is brought to life through virtual reality, 270° projections and audio technology.
The other half of the group enjoyed a city tour with a difference: TimeRide GO! At nine stops, they were able to experience the city’s history through 360° animations, sounds and smells.
A guided tour of the hotel and a three-course lunch served on a single platter then awaited us at the Hilton Dresden.
Well fortified, we made our way to the LÖWENSAAL Dresden. In this listed bank building, you can even hold a celebration in a room featuring an original vault door.
We continued along Dresden’s most popular shopping street, Prager Straße, to the First Class Hotel Pullman Dresden Newa for a guided tour of the hotel.
After a break, we headed to the Felix Suiten am Zwinger for some networking over drinks with a view of the Zwinger.
To round off the day, we headed to the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion for the international women’s football match between the German national team and France. We cheered them on from the VIP lounge.

Famtrip Day 2

The second day began with a guided tour of the hotel. Situated right on the banks of the Elbe, the Bilderberg Bellevue Hotel Dresden is a place where sustainability is put into practice. It holds the “Certified Green Hotels” accreditation, is an ambassador for e-mobility, and next year a solar panel system will also be installed on the roof.
The former “Europa-Pavillon” is now the Ostra Dome, adjacent to the Ostra Studios. The green spaces and water features on the site are ideal for open-air events.
We spent our short journeys through Dresden on the Gourmetliner. This restaurant and event bus combines transport with culinary delights.
Finally, we visited Volkswagen’s Gläserne Manufaktur. We were given a tour of the production facility for the fully electric ID.3 model. With its ‘Way to Zero’ initiative, Volkswagen is leading the way towards sustainability, even at events.
