Sustainable travel and getting around in Dresden

Good value and climate-friendly transport

Dresden’s mobility concept for conferences and congresses includes the Deutsche Bahn event ticket for a CO2-neutral journey with 100 % green electricity and a local congress ticket, which can be used on any public transport in the city and surrounding region for climate-friendly travel. Dresden itself is also extremely walkable so that being environmentally friendly is an in-built feature. The use of green electricity in the trams and Europe's first series hybrid bus also means that necessary journeys in the city are almost climate neutral.

Rethinking mobility

The mobility of participants at events is one of the biggest drivers of emissions. In Dresden, we therefore like to "travel differently" and are currently on the way to becoming a model city for e-mobility - with the goal of 250 public charging stations by 2025.

At the same time, there are mobility locations at central nodes that facilitate environmentally friendly mobility with offers such as car sharing, public transport and e-bikes.

Mobility on site

There is a well-developed charging infrastructure throughout the city - mainly fast charging points in the centre. In addition, "value-added services" offer a reservation and navigation to the desired charging point. Together with more and more charging points also at hotels and location providers, you can therefore also get on your way with an electric car without any problems!

In addition, there are transfer services in Dresden that also rely on electric vehicles. With electric shuttles and electric taxis, you can get from one place to another quickly, comfortably and in an environmentally friendly manner.
