#DresdenConvention – fit for the future

The "Dresden.Fit4Congress" conference provides attendees with the latest sector insights and trend topics that matter for the congress industry. Attended by event planners and decision-makers from science and business as potential event organisers in Dresden, this continuing education programme has been running since 2013. In 2018, a full-day conference format, the "Congress for Dresden", was established together with the "Dresden Congress Award", with the latter being presented every 2 years. The full-day conference format will be continued in 2019 and will focus in particular on key topics such as:

Digitalisation / technologisation
Future Meeting Space
Sustainability

The conference also informs about Dresden’s service offerings for conferences, meetings and incentives and showcases our local congress network to inspire organisers to hold their events in Dresden.

The focus continues to be on the range of services and Dresden’s local congress network. The many possibilities for conferences, congresses and incentives in Dresden will be shown in order to motivate people to hold events in Dresden.

Since 2013, Fit4Congress has taken place annually as an in-depth workshop with about 50 attendees. Alternating with the Dresden Congress Award, a large training event for MICE professionals with several workshops and networking events is also held.

Fit4Congress 2017 - trends in event technology

As demand continued to grow, the March 2018 workshop was fully booked, with a waiting list of more than 30.

In order to meet the growing demand and interest, we decided to organise the second Fit4Congress event in 2018 as a larger event and combine it with our annual highlight, the 12th Dresden Congress Award. Fit4Congress took place as a pre-conference to Dresden Congress Award with attendees from all over Germany for the first time.

Fit4Congress 2019 - Congress of the future

Headlined "Congress of the Future", our 2019 Fit4Congress attracted around 110 event professionals from all over Germany. The event focused on hands-on content to provide attendees with insights into key success factors for events, showcasing how networking and interaction can be integrated into events to engage and inspire attendees.
