Destinations in Motion Tour
One component of the campaign is the so-called "Destination in Motion Tour" through major German congress cities. The Motion Tour was themed "Germany Open for Business Innovation and Digitalisation".
And so on Tuesday, 15.06.2021, we welcomed the roving reporter Avid Vahedi to Dresden and explored the multifaceted congress location Dresden together with him. For Avid and the social media observers, we put together a great programme with a wide variety of MICE stops - true to the motto: Dresden - Meetings.Moments.Memories!
Awid and the GCB's team got to know an interesting mix of historical and modern event options, as well as innovative and sustainable concepts from our industry.

1. Bilderberg Bellevue Hotel Dresden

3. Arcotel HafenCity Dresden
New and modern conference hotel in Dresden, directly in the newly developed HafenCity area on the Elbe with residential buildings and marina.
4. OstraDome & OstraStudios
Extraordinary location for meetings, events, summer parties and exclusive events. Planning of a lake stage for events on the grounds of the OstraStudios. The studios shine with one of the latest digital 3D studios.
5. Zwinger Xperience
New multimedia time travel and VR experience at the Dresden Zwinger. Travel back in time through the history and architecture of the Dresden Zwinger and experience a personalised museum experience with audio guides.
6. Gläsener Manufaktur VW
The Manufaktur is not just an event location. It is made special by the fact that it is part of a world of production and experience. The CO2-free production site of the all-electric ID. 3 is also treading the path to becoming a "green location".
7. International Congress Center Dresden
The city's conference hotel and congress centre, located directly in the Old Town. New integrated studio for digital and hybrid congresses in the heart of the city.
8. Confgames - Gamification made in Dresden
CONFGAMES the interactive scavenger hunt made in Dresden. We enrich onsite or virtual events with innovative gamification. This way you can easily start a conversation and generate contacts.
9. Residenzschloss Dresden
Event location Residenzschloss - Königlich tagen und feiern. The world-famous museums of the Dresden State Art Collections offer your invitation more than a special setting.
10. Kraftwerk Mitte
The Kraftwerk Mitte Dresden, a 19th-century industrial monument, has developed into a lively location for culture, art and creativity. Theatre, media culture centre, coworking space, cinema, gastronomy & event location.
11. Carbon Concrete House CUBE
In Dresden, the first building in the world to be constructed entirely of carbon concrete is currently under construction. The CUBE with an area of 220 m² is to serve as an experimental building for researching the long-term suitability of carbon concrete and will contain exhibition and presentation areas.
