GCB Discovery Tour - 22 and 23 September 2021 in Dresden

Dresden shows itself to its guests with sunshine and many new locations

We brought guests to Dresden in the course of the "GCB - At the heart of future Events" campaign. Following the fam trip in Leipzig, most of the guests arrived in Dresden on 22.09.2021 already full of new impressions. So we had to follow up.

Day 1

We are officially in Pullmann Hotel where our guests were also all allowed to stay overnight. From here we had a great view over the city and once again strengthened ourselves for the coming programme.

On foot and with a small city tour we went to the ZwingerXperience, which newly opened in June. What a special experience. After a little further tour we were allowed an insight into the Stromwerk which will mainly be used for events in the future. Then it was time for the cosy part of the evening. A great dinner with live piano accompaniment was served to all guests and participants in the Kulturwirtschaft. The Kulturwirtschaft is a new location/restaurant on the Kraftwerk Mitte site and combines the Dresden baroque with a modern industrial style.

Day 2

The evening could not end too late, because day 2 was waiting for the Gourmetliner was already waiting to take us to the first stop. At Felix - Das lebendige Haus we had refreshments and a fantastic view. The flats and meeting rooms are also something very special with a view of the Zwinger. Afterwards we went on to the fair and stock exchange and also the Ostra-Areal presented itself to the participants. This gave everyone an impression of the possibilities offered here and how diverse Dresden's locations are. Slowly it was time for the lunch break. We spent it in the courtyard of the Albrechtsberg Castle but of course not without exploring the impressive rooms first.

So one highlight followed the next and the Gläserne Manufaktur showed us not only a little insight into the production but also the event rooms. So our fam trip ended with a joint coffee break and we were all so happy to be hosts again.

Thank you to all partners, without whom this event would not have been possible.

Ann-Kathrin Wehse de Calderón / WEDGEWOOD GERMANY:

"The nice giveaways and the varied programme in Dresden were inspiring. Dresden has a baroque façade that almost everyone knows, but behind it there are a lot of creative people who go with the times, and cool and modern locations. Dresden has positively surprised me!"
