German Sports Festival for the Deaf 25th Anniversary in Dresden

Germany's biggest sports event for the deaf took place from 26-28.08.2021 in Dresden and was a great event not only for the more than 1000 participants.

The catch-up date for the 25th German Deaf Sports Festival was awaited with a countdown and growing anticipation and was opened on Thursday, 26.08.2021 in the Margon Arena Dresden. Many local partners as well as sports stars such as Katharina Witt were happy to support and also accompanied the opening ceremony.

18 sports over 3 days

On the 3 days of the competition, participants fought for every point and for medals all over the city. In 18 sports such as athletics, swimming, chess, mountain biking and hiking, all participants gave their best.

And even the one or other change of location was no problem due to the weather.

So on Saturday at the big closing ceremony in the OstraDome, in addition to many great successes, a successful event could also be celebrated. There was a great programme and accompanied by a big fireworks display. What a perfect end to this fantastic and important sporting event.

A big thank you to all athletes participants and especially organisers and partners for celebrating your anniversary with and at us.
