The Taschenbergpalais building in Dresden was built in the 18th century by the Saxon Elector Augustus the Strong for his mistress Anna Constantia Countess of Cosel. Destroyed in the Second World War and rebuilt in 1995, it now combines historic splendour, contemporary elegance and modern design.

The hotel encloses 182 spacious rooms and 31 princely suites; culinary excellence in four different restaurants, cafés and bars: the Palais Bistro serving French cuisine, the Fischrestaurant Kastenmeiers by Dresden celebrity chef Gerd Kastenmeiers, the Café Vestibül with in-house patisserie and the Karl May Bar, which is modelled on New York's famous Oak Room.
