Schwof im Residenzschloss - the party for after work art

We are often on the road. But we travel far too rarely.

Directly on the doorstep, the Schwof Nō 8 now offers the opportunity to do so. The Friends of the Dresden State Art Collections invite you to the Dresden Residence Palace:

A 20-metre-long tent, life-size carved horses, noble state vehicles. In the Türckische Cammer (Turkish Chamber), they bear witness to August the Strong's love of travel. Artists also set out for new shores. They are inspired by places and people. The current exhibition of the Kupferstich-Kabinett follows them. It brings together more than 100 works from the Renaissance to the present.

The director of the Kupferstich-Kabinett Stephanie Buck, curators and live speakers invite you to share travel experiences in the museums from 9 to 10:30 pm. Huge tents are imported for courtyard parties, stories are captured in sketchbooks - what remains of a journey? Where does it begin? How does the perspective widen? When curiosity and openness meet, it is always a beginning.

Inspired by the journeys of others, one's own begins. From 10 p.m. onwards, the inner courtyard staged by director and designer Tom Roeder awaits revelers in the Small Castle Courtyard. The musical air freight starts in the Orient, then changes places and times to take off at 1 a.m. - and this is new at Schwof - into electronic realms. Kobalt Club Royal mixes fresh drinks at the bar. Guests find their way: from meeting to unexpectedly falling in love. Dancing in the light under the Kulka dome. This is how the swing blossoms under the castle sky with people sparkling their eyes, drinking cocktails and enjoying the seductive night: Have a good trip!
